Camilla Rutherford Photography

I am a commercial stills photographer based in Tarras. I work well with film crews, love shooting behind the scenes imagery and telling compelling stories through my photography. I am also getting into directing and making short films.

I studied production design at Central St Martins Collage of Art in London and have worked as a commercial stills photographer and film maker since I graduated in 2005. I am experienced in working behind the scenes and am good at blending in, not getting in the way but still getting the shot. I have mirrorless cameras that shoot silently not to interfere with any sound recording. I enjoy working with agencies and production companies alike and I pride myself as being easy going and hard working. No challenge is too much, I live for adventure and I know the area around Otago and Southland very well. Im not afraid to get my hands dirty.

Industry Experience

I have worked at Pinewood Studio's in London on the feature films Tim Burtons "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and "Nanny McPhee" when I was based in London.

Since working in New Zealand I have worked with many film crews whilst shooting TVC's for both NZ, American, British and Asian productions, including work for National Geographic, The North Face Asia, Tourism New Zealand, Air New Zealand.
