Quinn Wilson

I'm a writer-director developing my debut feature with support from the New Zealand Writers Guild Seed Grant. My work explores deadpan absurdism and accentuated melodrama, blending cinematic minimalism with heightened, maximalist framing. I'm drawn to character-driven stories that balance humour and emotional intensity.

Industry Experience

I’ve written, directed and edited multiple DIY short films, as well as small, low-budget productions working with ARRI cinema camera systems. I trained at the New Zealand Film and Television School and am confident and efficient operating within established set structures, safety protocols and departmental workflows. I’m experienced in Avid Media Composer and have edited three shorts with professional post-production structure.
