Sherwood

Sherwood Queenstown is an eco-friendly hotel with an on-site restaurant and bar, bio-dynamic garden, wellbeing and a workshop space for private or community events. We are set on a hillside overlooking the picturesque Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain Range. We are just 5 minutes’ drive or 15 minutes' by bicycle from Queenstown City Centre, and 8 minutes’ drive from Queenstown Airport. Our refurbished rooms feature commissioned artworks and recycled materials including pure wool blankets, industrial light fittings, and hand crafted bathroom products. Our guests can dine on fresh organic produce picked daily from the bio-dynamic vegetable garden and we have an extensive range of natural local wine, craft beer, rare spirits and single origin coffee on offer. You can relax in the sauna or book a massage with one of our wonderful therapists. Yoga and meditation classes are also available in our wellbeing space.

We have various spaces on offer for small scale content shoots right up to larger-scale productions. We have one production office that can seat around 20-25 and another boardroom style which seats up to around 15 pax. We also offer various room types, some with extra lounge space to use for meetings, film gear or for wardrobe fittings, for example. Our workshop is a larger space we use for weddings and live music events that could house up to 50-60 (tiered style seating), we also have projectors, screens and AV equipment available to use. We like to think we are a one stop shop. House you, feed you and provide space for you to fulfil your productions needs :)

Industry Experience

In the 10 years of operation we have enjoyed being part of the local and international film community. Providing productions with rooms, meals and spaces to execute their work efficiently and with comfort. We have housed small content shoots, right up to large-scale film productions.
